Instrument hire

“Mum - I want ……..” How many times have you heard that before? We’ve all got a cupboard full of the ‘latest crazes’ the things they really “needed” - before something else came along. Want to be sure your child really does want to play the Double Bass before you buy one?

Essex Music Services has the answer for you. We operate an Instrument Hire Scheme where you can rent an instrument. You can have it for one term or until your child leaves school (or changes their mind!). We have a wide range of top quality instruments, from flutes to double basses. We even have smaller sized instruments to suit those smaller sized musicians.

We offer extremely favourable rates, and a 50% discount for people in receipt of certain benefits. This scheme is aimed at young musicians (aged up to 21, who live or study in Essex).

Music Workshops

Throughout the year a number of workshops are run for young people in Essex. Unless otherwise stated these workshops are open to all young people (aged 5 - 21) who live or are educated in Essex. World Music
