The vision

Today, many instrumental teachers are using Essex Online Music to create online lessons for their pupils.

When pupils practise with the interactive pieces they feel they are playing, not practising, and because they are more stimulated they will play more frequently and/or for longer.

When children play more frequently or for longer at an early stage of learning, they develop their playing facility and comfort on the instrument much more quickly.

Helping children achieve a momentum with their playing at an early stage enables them to get to the enjoyable part of learning an instrument quickly and they are much more inclined to continue.

Evidence for this is largely anecdotal at present, but the teachers who make use of this facility and experience the positive difference in their pupils’ development never want to go back.
