Music ICT Resources

The delivery of music in many of our Primary schools has changed dramatically since the Government’s Wider Entitlement pledge which stated that ‘over time all pupils in primary schools who wish to will have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument’.

This pledge is supported by the aspiration for happier, more musical, successful, confident and self assured young people (Music Education & the Music Grant Standards Fund 1.11 - Aspirations, Support & Delivery).

Our Music ICT resources support instrumental and vocal teaching and the National Curriculum, ensuring that teachers and pupils are inspired to achieve the ‘wider entitlement’ vision.

What Music ICT resources are available?

Essex Music Services has responded by providing thousands of high quality interactive music resources, including:

All of the resources support and enhance inclusive music making where all pupils can engage in a meaningful way.

They can be used during the lessons to provide a relevant and positive learning environment where listening, composing and performing are integrated. Additionally between the sessions they can be revisited in the classroom or elsewhere to motivate, consolidate and support learning.

Practically they can be used online, downloaded to your memory stick or computer, or downloaded as Netmedia SCORM packages.
